We are recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join a global engineering business in Melksham, supporting the assembly and testing of safety-critical products used within the rail industry.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is confident using hand tools, mechanical assembly equipment and basic electrical/electronic components.
The Role
Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring and testing products to detailed instructions and quality standards.
Your duties will include
Mechanical assembly of components and sub-assemblies.
Using a range of hand tools to complete assembly work.
Basic electrical and electronic assembly, including wiring and connections.
Following assembly instructions, drawings and technical specifications.
Fitting and replacing mechanical and electrical components.
Identifying and replacing faulty or damaged parts.
Carrying out basic fault finding and product testing.
Using ATE equipment to test completed products.
Checking completed work to ensure it meets quality and specification requirements.
