This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys the analytical side of financial planning and wants to play a key role in delivering high-quality advice to clients. The position offers exposure to complex financial planning work, with a strong focus on technical analysis, cashflow modelling, research, and report writing rather than administration.
Working closely with Financial Planners, you will help create robust, client-focused financial strategies and recommendations that support clients in achieving their long-term objectives.
The Opportunity

Advice spans pensions, investments, protection, tax planning, and estate planning, often working alongside accountancy and tax specialists to deliver joined-up solutions for clients. Key Responsibilities
- Analyse complex client information and translate findings into clear, practical financial planning recommendations.
- Produce high-quality suitability reports and supporting documentation.
- Conduct cashflow modelling, scenario testing, and financial forecasting.
- Research products, providers, and planning strategies to support client outcomes.
- Develop compliant recommendations aligned to client goals and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports to support Financial Planner meetings.
- Maintain exceptional standards of accuracy, technical quality, and regulatory compliance.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Paraplanning or technical financial planning position.
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, and UK tax planning.
- Experience producing suitability reports and recommendation documents.
- Knowledge of financial planning and cashflow modelling software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage your own workload while working effectively as part of a wider team.
