We have been requested to support our client to recruit a reliable and hardworking Mobile Plant Operative to join their established team in Amesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a full-time, permanent role within a well-respected organisation offering long-term stability, structured working hours, and an excellent benefits package.
The Role:
As a Mobile Plant Operative, you will be responsible for operating both fixed and mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently, in line with instructions from the Site Supervisor. You will also contribute to the smooth and compliant running of the site by supporting with maintenance, operational tasks, and general housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate fixed and mobile plant safely in accordance with site instructions.
- Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on plant and machinery as directed.
- Ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in line with manufacturer guidance and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and tidy site environment.
- Assist with environmental monitoring, odour management, and record-keeping to support compliance with site permits.
- Support with weighbridge, office administration, and provide cover in the Site Supervisor's absence.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve safe and efficient site operations.
About You:
- Must hold valid licences to operate a telescopic handler and 360 excavator.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual handling tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive, reliable work ethic.
- Experience within a waste, recycling, or similar heavy-plant environment is highly advantageous.
