I have been requested by our Client, a well-established and respected distributor of automotive parts and accessories to recruit a Warehouse Assistant for their busy depot in Frome.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team where no two days are the same.

The Role

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing and dispatching stock while maintaining high standards of organisation, safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
  • Receiving and checking incoming deliveries.
  • Storing stock safely and efficiently.
  • Updating warehouse information using computer systems.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily targets.

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn.

Ideally you will have

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.

  • Starting salary of £26,436.
  • £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.57 per hour following successful completion of probation.
  • Full time and Permanent.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch).
  • On-site parking.
  • Staff discount following successful probation.
  • 28 days annual leave including Bank Holidays.
  • Full training provided.
