Production Operative
Location: Midford, Bath
Pay Rate: £15.14 per hour
Type: Temp to Perm - following a successful probationary period
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30
CMD Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of Cross Manufacturing, a world-leading manufacturer supplying precision-engineered components to the aerospace, automotive and industrial sectors.
We are looking for Production Operatives, Manufacturing Operatives and practical, mechanically minded individuals who are looking to develop a long-term career within a skilled production environment.
The Opportunity
This is a temp-to-perm position, with the opportunity to potentially secure a permanent position with Cross Manufacturing following a successful probationary period.
You will receive full training on the company's products, processes and equipment, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong practical background who is keen to develop their manufacturing skills.
The Role
You will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Duties include:
- Operating production machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Manufacturing precision components to engineering specifications
- Conducting quality inspections and visual checks
- Using measuring equipment and production gauges
- Completing production documentation accurately
- Following standard operating procedures and health & safety requirements
- Working to production targets while maintaining excellent quality standards
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering or other practical environment
- Experience using machinery, tools or manufacturing equipment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality products
- Ability to follow written work instructions and manufacturing processes
- Good manual dexterity and practical skills
- A reliable work ethic and excellent attendance record
- A willingness to learn and develop within a precision manufacturing environment
Candidates with a practical or mechanical interest outside of work are also encouraged to apply.
Formal engineering experience is not essential if you have a strong practical aptitude, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in mechanical or manufacturing work.
Full training will be provided on Cross Manufacturing's products and processes. However, previous experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or practical environment would be advantageous.
This is a precision manufacturing environment where attention to detail, quality and consistency are essential. It is not a general warehouse or picking and packing role.
