The opportunity

We're looking for a senior, hands-on content leader to shape how CMC brings its trading and investing products to market.

As Head of Content Marketing - Trading & Investing, you'll create commercially effective content and campaigns across the website, CRM, social, video and paid channels.

Combining strong knowledge of trading and investing with exceptional writing and campaign skills, you'll develop lead-generation initiatives, support product launches and improve conversion.

You’ll also manage a small team, collaborate closely across Marketing and Product, and use the latest AI tools to deliver high-quality work with greater speed and impact.

What you'll do

  • Own the content marketing strategy and integrated campaign plan across CMC's trading and investing products, aligned to commercial priorities, target audiences and brand direction.
  • Develop campaign concepts, propositions and priority copy, while setting direction for colleagues and external partners.
  • Create and edit content across website and landing pages, CRM and email, paid and organic social, video, product explainers and educational materials.
  • Translate complex products, platform capabilities and market themes into authoritative, clear content for sophisticated traders and accessible content for active investors.
  • Develop content-led acquisition campaigns and lead magnets, partnering with CRM on landing pages, nurture journeys and retargeting to generate qualified interest, leads, account applications and funded accounts.
  • Partner with the Head of Product Marketing to turn positioning, launches and platform capabilities into effective, customer-focused campaigns.
  • Apply strong knowledge of trading, investing and financial markets to understand experienced and higher-value traders, identify timely opportunities and maintain content authority and accuracy.
  • Manage and develop a direct report and external partners while remaining hands-on in priority work.
  • Collaborate across Product Marketing, CRM, Social, Performance Marketing, SEO, Brand, Design, Product, Analytics and Compliance to deliver joined-up campaigns and customer experiences.
  • Involve Compliance and relevant stakeholders early, ensuring content meets brand and financial promotions requirements.
  • Use customer insight, testing, analytics and performance data to optimise content and campaigns.
  • Embed AI-native ways of working, using the latest AI and creative tools to improve research, ideation, production, versioning and optimisation without compromising quality, accuracy or compliance.
  • What you'll bring
  • Significant senior experience in content marketing, campaigns, product marketing or commercially focused editorial work - ideally within trading, investing, brokerage, fintech or financial media.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and active trading products, with the credibility to engage experienced and higher-value traders as well as mass-affluent investors.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across propositions, landing pages, long-form content, CRM, advertising, social and video scripts.
  • A proven record of developing content-led acquisition campaigns, lead magnets and conversion journeys with measurable commercial impact.
  • The ability to translate technical features and platform capabilities into differentiated customer benefits and compelling campaign ideas.
  • A hands-on leadership style, with experience managing a small team and external partners while personally delivering priority work.
  • Experience across website, CRM, paid media, social and video, with strong analytical judgement and the ability to use insight, testing and performance data to improve results.
  • A sound understanding of financial promotions requirements and experience working through approvals in a regulated environment.
  • A demonstrably AI-native approach, actively using and evaluating the latest AI and creative tools to improve research, ideation, production, personalisation and performance while applying strong editorial judgement.

If you're a confident senior writer and editor with genuine market fluency, commercial instincts and the curiosity to keep improving how content is created and delivered, we'd love to hear from you.
