CMC Markets are hiring a Custody & Transfers Analyst to join our team in London. Join a dynamic team at CMC Markets, a leading global FinTech, and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient asset transfers for our clients. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to day responsibility for investigating and managing any unsettled and/or failing trades.
- Processing of ISA, SIPP and GIA portfolio transfers (Transfer In and Transfer Out).
- Liaise with our Custodians and/or Counterparties in order to ensure the timely settlement of trades and transfers.
- Liaise with clients/brokers/internal stakeholders on all transfer cases through emails/calls on a daily basis.
- Manage the administration of external custody accounts to ensure correct allocation of cash and stock.
- Ensure appropriate workflow controls are followed correctly.
- Ensure procedures are followed and up to date.
- Adhere to SLAs & KPIs.
- Contribute to ongoing project work and system development to ensure timely delivery of the Investment product.
- Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training.
- When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets.
- Take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Relevant experience ideally in a Settlements or Transfers role.
- An understanding of ISA, SIPP and GIA transfers.
- An understanding of equity and fund settlements.
- Experience with Crest, Euroclear and DTC settlements agents.
- Knowledge of HSBC, Northern Trust and Altus systems is desirable but not essential.
- IT competent, particularly MS Office.
- Methodical and thorough in approach to tasks, able to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Confident communicator.
