CMC Consulting is partnering with a well-established and fast-paced business to find a talented Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise and make a tangible impact, adding strength and depth to a growing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full month-end close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate postings, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare management accounts, statutory financial statements, and variance analysis with clear commentary for stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Partner with department heads to review revenue and P&L against forecasts and budgets, providing actionable insights.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, internal controls, and workflows, introducing automation and standardisation where possible.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new finance systems to optimise reporting and operational efficiency.
- Lead audit preparation, liaising with auditors, and ensuring compliance with statutory and governance requirements.
- Manage tax and regulatory filings, including VAT and relevant official returns.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure all reporting meets internal quality standards and supports audit readiness.
