M&A Associate - Consumer - £100,000 - £120,000 plus Bonus

A leading investment bank is seeking an M&A Associate to join its growing London team.

The opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of mid-market and upper mid-market M&A transactions, working alongside senior bankers and advising entrepreneurial businesses, corporates, private equity investors and other financial sponsors.

The successful candidate will play an important role across the full transaction lifecycle, with responsibilities including:

  • Developing detailed financial models and valuation analyses
  • Preparing pitch books, information memoranda and other transaction materials
  • Conducting company, industry and market analysis
  • Supporting due diligence and transaction execution
  • Managing and coordinating workstreams with clients, advisers and other stakeholders
  • Working closely with senior bankers on live M&A mandates and business development opportunities
  • Supporting the origination of new opportunities and preparation of client presentations

We are looking for an ambitious investment banking professional with

  • 2–4 years' experience in M&A, investment banking or a closely related advisory environment
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
  • Experience working on live M&A transactions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
