Our client is a well-established international manufacturing company that is currently expanding worldwide. They are now seeking a qualified accountant to join them in a high-profile role.
Duties will include:
- Execute month-end close, including journals, variance analysis, and management accounts
- Conduct cost and expense analysis to support cost control and efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Support payroll processing, including HMRC submissions
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and act as the primary contact for clients on record-keeping
- Assist in statutory accounts preparation
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits
- Coordinate with UK departments and overseas headquarters on management reporting
- Develop analytical reports to identify variances, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to forecasting and budget preparation
Ideally, you will be qualified (in industry or practice) and be looking to develop your career and progress to taking ownership of a finance function.
