A growing entrepreneurial client within the media and entertainment sector is looking for a technically strong, qualified accountant to join as Group Finance Manager. This is a unique opportunity that provides exposure to a high-growth and fascinating industry. You’ll be a key hire and will take ownership of all group central finance, whilst also managing a small team. Key Duties:
- Responsible for Group Central Finance - Oversee the central finance function, ensuring accurate financial management and alignment across the group.
- Ownership of Month-End Close - Take full accountability for timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Liaise with Subsidiaries - Act as the key finance contact for group subsidiaries, supporting and guiding their financial reporting and compliance.
- Support the Consolidation Process - Assist in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Manage a Small Finance Team - Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering development, efficiency, and collaboration within the group finance function.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a strong technical background and experience in a post audit environment. You’ll need to be personable, with the ability to communicate effectively with both non-finance colleagues and senior stakeholders.
