CMC Consulting are partnering with an established and growing healthcare business seeking to appoint a senior finance leader to oversee and lead the finance function. This is a broad leadership role working closely with senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, governance, and operational improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded finance professional with proven leadership experience within the healthcare sector and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, providing commercial insight, financial challenge, and data-driven recommendations to support key business decisions and long-term growth objectives.

Lead the finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, robust controls, and full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and stakeholder reporting requirements across all entities. Manage, mentor, and develop a growing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development.

Oversee the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process delivering accurate financial models and meaningful analysis to support strategic planning and business performance. Production of monthly management accounts, board packs, and statutory reporting, delivering clear commentary and actionable insights to senior stakeholders. Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimisation initiatives, alongside detailed scenario modelling to support operational resilience and future investment planning.

Skills & Experience:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience within finance leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience operating within the healthcare sector
  • Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams, alongside driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • The ability to build effective relationships and communicate financial insight to non-finance stakeholders
