Job Description Marc Daniels is delighted to be supporting a well-known and rapidly growing organisation in Northampton with the appointment of a Finance Manager - Logistics \ N This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant with logistics, transport, distribution, warehousing or supply chain experience to join a growing business and play a key role in improving financial and operational performance. \ N You will take ownership of the month-end management accounting process for the logistics operation, while acting as a trusted finance business partner to operational and senior leadership teams. \ N Key responsibilities \ N \n Lead the month-end management accounting process for the logistics and operational functions. \ N Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting packs and financial commentary. \ N Complete journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions and balance sheet reconciliations. \ N Produce detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior-year performance. \ N Act as the finance business partner to logistics, transport, warehousing and supply chain teams. \ N Analyse key logistics costs, including labour, transport, fuel, freight, fleet, warehousing and third-party logistics spend. \ N Monitor operational KPIs such as cost per delivery, cost per unit, labour productivity and distribution costs. \ N Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning. \ N Provide financial insight to improve operational efficiency and profitability. \ N Identify cost-saving opportunities and challenge operational assumptions. \ N \n You will ideally have: \ N \n Experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant or similar. \ N Previous experience within logistics, transport, distribution, warehousing, supply chain or a comparable operational environment. \ N Strong month-end management accounting experience. \ N A thorough understanding of accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations and variance analysis. \ N Proven finance businesspartnering experience. \ N Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. \ N Excellent communicationand stakeholder management skills. \ N Experience with an ERPor finance system. \ N CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification, although qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered \ N \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
