CMC Consulting are working with an industry leading manufacturing business with operations across the UK. Their continued expansion has led to the requirement for an additional commercially focused finance professional to join their team. Providing insightful financial analysis and high quality business partnering your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop strong, credible relationships with senior leaders across multiple departments, acting as a trusted financial advisor.
  • Take ownership of functional cost planning, including headcount, utilisation and overhead forecasting and monthly planning cycles.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of functional forecasts and plans, ensuring alignment with annual objectives and identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost optimisation.
  • Enhance forecasting methodologies by embedding tactical workload planning to improve alignment between operational teams and wider business objectives.
  • Drive greater consistency and standardisation across forecasting and management reporting processes.
  • Act as a key finance liaison between Project Management, Business Development and Operations to support forward manufacturing and resource planning.
  • Prepare analysis and materials for monthly Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Rate Review Boards.
  • Support the consolidated forecasting of capital expenditure and change programmes, ensuring delivery in line with annual financial commitments.
  • Develop robust business cases and prepare Authorisation Requests supported by clear financial analysis.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree educated (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Actively studying towards an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
  • Minimum of three years’ experience within finance or accounting-based roles, with exposure to planning, reporting or analysis.
  • Confident translating detailed financial information into concise, meaningful insights tailored for senior leadership teams.
  • Comfortable working with finance systems and data tools.
