CMB Recruitment is working exclusively with a Belfast based leading provider of small works property reinstatement services, seeking a Contracts Manager. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and customer care, they deliver end-to-end small works reinstatement solutions across Northern Ireland. This is a permanent full-time role with a hybrid working arrangement, competitive salary, company vehicle or car allowance and pension.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will manage contracts from instruction on small works property reinstatements through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- This is a customer focused role whereby the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for customer liaison and satisfaction whilst keeping an eye on the subcontractors quality of work.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of building and reinstatement contracts, from survey and scoping through to handover.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Client, insurers, loss adjusters, policyholders, and subcontractors.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control.
- Support site teams and subcontractors to achieve programme deadlines and maintain quality standards.
- Report on contract performance, costs, and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support repeat business and client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, processes, and customer experience.
THE PERSON
We are seeking candidates with the following skills/experience:
- Construction-related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record in contracts/project management, ideally within construction/Building small works or other.
- Experience in dealing with Clients and Customers.
- Strong knowledge of building processes, trades, and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Strong financial awareness, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal confidently with clients and customers.
- IT literacy (Microsoft Office; experience with industry-specific software desirable).
- Health & Safety training (e.g. SMSTS, IOSH) desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
