CMB Recruitment is working with a leading North Down manufacturing company, seeking an Extrusion Team Leader to join their team and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Department. This is a full-time permanent role, a 48-hour, 4 day week Monday to Thursday, on a fortnightly rotating shift basis (Days 7.30am- 7.30pm- Nights 7.30pm- 7.30am).
THE ROLE
- To support the Production Supervisor in ensuring the Department runs efficiently, making best use of all available resources.
- Lead by example in motivating the team to perform to the best of their abilities.
- To maintain quality standards in accordance with customer expectations and relevant quality standards.
- To identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- To assist in the development and training of extrusion operators.
- To assist in daily production planning/scheduling of production activities.
- To carry out external training as and when required.
THE PERSON
- At least 2 years team leader experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing a team of Production Operators.
- Experience/skill in creating and managing production schedules to ensure customer orders are met on time.
- Computer literate particularly in Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight production deadlines.
- Lean manufacturing qualification helpful but not essential.
