Our client is a leading Engineering business which designs and produces a range of class leading design led products which are extremely competitive in the markets they target. Design Engineering is a key factor in our Clients success. They now wish to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to complement their design team. This post offers an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to make a significant difference in how this range of products both develops and performs through its Electrical functionality.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will report into the Head of Design Engineering and work with the Design team from initial concept stages through design, manufacturing and handover. You will be responsible for the electrical element of a range of design led projects.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience of Electrical Design within a design and manufacturing environment is desirable.
- However, electrical design within other sectors such as control panels, M&E is equally attractive to our Client.
- Knowledge of designing wiring harnesses would be desirable.
- Good experience with one of the design software packages is expected.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interface with Customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production.
- Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
