Our client is a leading Engineering company within easily commutable distance of Belfast, designing and manufacturing a range of bespoke products. As a result of expansion, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience to join their existing Design Team and work on a range of Client led designs. This represents an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a leading employer.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with customers and produce 3D designs for new products and amendments to existing products. These designs should consider the manufacturing process and provide a balance between functionality and aesthetics.

THE PERSON

  • Hold a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Design Engineering or alternatively a lesser qualification if can demonstrate considerable practical experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment with strong design skills.
  • Competent in using at least one major design software package ie Solid Works, Catia, Pro E etc.
  • A strong problem solver able to come up with innovative designs to overcome Engineering issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Strong personal skills to assist customer interaction.

SALARY

A highly competitive salary and benefits package is available for the successful candidate dependent on their level of relevant experience.
