Our client is a growing fabrication company based in North Down and specialising in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality roller shutter doors for residential and industrial clients. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Operative to join our production team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will assist in the fabrication, assembly, and preparation of roller shutter doors and associated components within a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the manufacture and assembly of roller shutter doors and components
  • Operating factory machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Cutting, drilling, measuring, and preparing materials to specification
  • Loading and unloading materials and finished products
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Conducting quality checks on completed work
  • Assisting with stock control and general warehouse duties
  • Always following health & safety procedures

THE PERSON

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or factory environment preferred but not essential
  • Experience with roller shutter doors, steel fabrication, or industrial products would be advantageous
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Good practical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to read basic measurements and technical drawings is desirable
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
