Our client, a leading Engineering company based within easy commute from Belfast, wishes to recruit a Technical Author/ Writer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Professional to join a company which will reward the successful candidate with long term career opportunities and a competitive package.

THE ROLE

You will be required to interpret products and technology and design and write user manual documentation, reference manuals, user guides and online help incorporated into operating guides. You will be required to attend planning/briefing meetings, collaborate with Managers to clarify technical issues and liaise with sales and marketing specialists to understand the technology for which documentation is to be prepared.

THE PERSON

You will be an experienced Technical Writer with a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience. A qualification in a technical related subject is desirable ideally Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical Engineering to HND/ HNC level or above. Strong relevant experience will also be considered. IT proficient in all Microsoft applications; a higher level of computer literacy would be desirable. Experience of making technical information available online would be desirable.
