CMap is a fast-growing software company helping project-based businesses win, deliver, and manage work profitably. At our core, we’re problem-solvers. That means our consultancy team is central to our success — guiding clients to adopt CMap in ways that transform their business. We focus on delivering exceptional onboarding, building strong business processes, and ensuring our clients get maximum value from our platform. Our consultants are trusted to lead projects from start to finish, challenge the status quo, and help clients unlock new ways of working. We combine expertise in project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement with deep product knowledge to make sure every implementation delivers measurable impact.
We’re proud of our product and even prouder of our people. Collaboration, openness, and input from across the business drive both our culture and our success. We keep things friendly and informal, but we’re serious about delivering exceptional results for our clients — and enjoying the journey together.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for an experienced, client-facing Consultant to independently lead onboarding projects, own a portfolio of live client relationships, and help our clients get more value out of one of our core products: CMap PIM. If you love being the person clients trust to solve problems, challenge their thinking, and deliver real business outcomes — this is your seat at the table.
- Leading onboarding, start to finish. You'll independently manage a portfolio of Onboarding Projects — becoming the client's main point of contact, running key meetings, migrating their data, and delivering training that actually sticks. This includes deep, hands-on work with our PIM product, helping clients transfer data and build strong processes around both from day one.
- Owning customer success. Beyond onboarding, you'll act as a Customer Success Manager for a portfolio of live clients — running Office Hours, supporting adoption, and working alongside our account management team to help clients grow.
- Selling and delivering consultancy. As clients evolve, so do their needs. You'll spot the opportunities, sell ad-hoc Consultancy Projects, and lead them — using your project management chops and product expertise to keep adding value long after go-live.
- Growing as a leader. This isn't just a delivery role. You'll start coaching and guiding more junior consultants, shape how our team works internally, and help drive the culture and continuous improvement that makes CMap a great place to grow a career.
What you'll need to succeed:
- At least 2 years' experience in a client-facing consulting, project management, or professional services role — ideally managing a portfolio of concurrent engagements, and supporting business change projects in larger or more complex organisations. You'll have a track record of delivering on time, in scope, and on budget, with limited senior oversight.
- A confident communicator who can lead meetings, training sessions, and workshops independently — and isn't afraid to challenge a client's way of working if it means they'll get more value from the product.
- Sharp with data — comfortable in Excel, confident reviewing and validating imported data, and analytical enough to spot what a client actually needs (not just what they're asking for).
- Calm under pressure, resilient through scope changes and delays, and able to escalate risks before they become problems.
- A natural relationship-builder who adapts their style across stakeholders — from end users to senior leadership.
- Genuinely curious about coaching and developing others, even if you're just getting started.
- A self-starter with a "roll sleeves up" attitude who thrives in a fast-paced SME environment.
What we offer:
You'll join a close-knit, high-performing team where your impact is visible — on your clients, on your colleagues, and on the direction of the business itself. We're growing our consultancy offering, which means real opportunities to shape what "great" looks like, not just follow a playbook. You will also get access to:
- Private medical & dental insurance: Supporting your health and wellbeing with access to private care.
- Life assurance: Providing extra financial security for you and your loved ones.
- Help@Hand: 24/7 support for your health and wellbeing.
- Enhanced parental leave: Offering time and support when it matters most.
- Reward Gateway: Access to discounts on a wide range of everyday purchases.
- Team outings and events: Regular chances to connect and unwind.
- Manchester city-centre office: A modern WeWork space with great facilities and free barista coffee.
- EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme: It's like a cycle-to-work scheme, but for electric vehicles. You give up some of your pre-tax salary, and we give you an EV, with lots more you need to get on the road.
