This is a brand new role — created because we are scaling and we need someone to help us build and run the infrastructure that keeps CMap moving. You won’t be inheriting a mess or maintaining someone else’s legacy. You’ll be shaping things from the ground up. Reporting to the IT & Infrastructure Director, you will work closely with our engineering team to keep our Azure environment fast, reliable and secure. You will:
- Designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Automating build, test and deployment processes to drive speed and reliability.
- Integrating code quality and security tooling — SonarCloud, Snyk, WhiteSource.
- Managing Azure infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
- Keeping dev, test and production environments consistent and well-provisioned.
- Building observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics.
- Setting up alerting and owning clear runbooks and escalation processes.
- Joining the on-call rota as part of delivering a great customer experience.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 3+ years in a DevOps or platform engineering role.
- Solid Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience - Please don’t be too put off if you come from an AWS Background.
- Scripting in PowerShell, Bash and/or Python.
- Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Bicep or ARM.
- Docker containerisation experience.
- Git / Azure DevOps version control.
