Overview

As CMAC Group’s Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and scaling a world‑class content strategy that drives demand, strengthens brand authority, and engages audiences across multiple global sectors. You will oversee the complete content lifecycle - from planning and production to performance optimisation - while managing internal creators, external agencies, and cross‑functional stakeholders. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands‑on content leader who excels at blending creativity with data‑driven decision‑making, leading multi‑disciplinary teams, and producing high‑impact content that fuels pipeline growth and positions CMAC as an industry thought leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated content strategy aligned with CMAC’s marketing objectives, business goals, and priority verticals.
  • Build an editorial plan underpinned by keyword research, user intent, industry insights, and search trends.
  • Own and manage the company‑wide content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and the wider Marketing team to understand audience needs, challenges, and opportunities.

Content Production & Management

  • Lead the creation of high‑value content, including white papers, case studies, blogs, social content, webinars, press releases, landing pages, and event collateral.
  • Manage all phases of the content lifecycle - briefing, planning, writing, editing, QA, approvals, publishing, and ongoing optimisation.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day content operations across content writers, designers, PR specialists, SEO experts – including a Digital PR team.
  • Manage and maintain the CMS, ensuring accurate publishing, SEO optimisation, and user experience consistency.
  • Ensure all content adheres to CMAC’s brand voice, style guidelines, and quality standards.

Digital PR, Brand Visibility & Thought Leadership

  • Oversee PR activities to secure media coverage, develop story angles, and elevate CMAC’s brand presence.
  • Manage the delivery of digital PR campaigns that earn high‑authority backlinks, enhance credibility, and support SEO performance.
  • Use data‑led storytelling, expert commentary, and industry insights to position CMAC as a leading authority.
  • Keep the marketing team informed of competitor developments, news, regulations, and industry trends that can fuel storytelling and strategic content opportunities.

SEO & Analytics

  • Ensure all content is optimised for search, including keyword integration, metadata, internal linking, page structure, and on‑page EO best practice.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn insights, and HubSpot to measure performance.
  • Analyse content effectiveness to refine strategy, improve conversion rates, and increase organic visibility.
  • Report monthly and quarterly on KPIs, ROI, traffic growth, engagement, and pipeline contribution.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a multi‑disciplinary content team.
  • Manage agency relationships to ensure high‑quality outputs, on‑time delivery, and strong KPIs.
  • Maintain a collaborative, innovative, and high‑performance‑content culture.
  • Support team development through regular feedback, performance reviews, and skills‑building initiatives.
  • Partner with Product to ensure the accurate communication of features, updates, and value propositions.
  • Work with Design teams to bring content to life with strong visuals, infographics, and multimedia assets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and Commercial teams to support campaign activity and audience engagement.
  • Stay ahead of evolving content marketing practices, AI advancements, SEO trends, and digital PR opportunities.
  • Introduce new formats such as interactive tools, video content, podcasts, and gated assets to expand CMAC’s content ecosystem.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market shifts to proactively adjust strategy and maintain CMAC’s competitive position.
  • Test and iterate on content performance to continually refine workflows, processes, and outputs.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to distil complex topics into accessible narratives.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, analytics platforms, CMS systems, and digital PR principles.
