CMA Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established organisation based near Wool, Dorset, to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a varied, hands-on role that will suit a finance professional who enjoys working close to the detail while also contributing meaningful insight to the wider business. This opportunity sits within a collaborative finance team and offers exposure to project accounting, management reporting and stakeholder engagement across a busy operational environment.

What will the Management Accountant role involve?

  • Producing monthly management accounts including profit and loss, trial balance and key performance indicators
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Delivering detailed cost centre reporting, including budget versus actual and forecast analysis
  • Supporting internal and group reporting requirements, including board-level packs
  • Providing project and utilisation analysis, offering insight on labour recovery, internal projects and investment activity
  • Assisting with cash allocation, non-project invoicing, journals and expense processing
  • Contributing ad-hoc financial analysis and supporting continuous improvement within the finance function

Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:

  • Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
  • Ideally AAT qualified and studying towards ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, also consider qualified by experience
  • Strong Excel skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident in analysing large data sets and explaining financial variances clearly
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing competing priorities
  • Enjoys driving efficiencies and streamlining processes
