CMA Financial Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, family-run service business near Littlehampton, West Sussex to find a dedicated and efficient Assistant Accountant to join their small, dynamic team.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Director and take responsibility for supporting the month-end management accounts, transactional processing in multiple currencies, bank reconciliations, and credit control.
Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly accounts for review, including accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
- All aspects of purchase ledger processing in GBP, USD and EUR, reconciling statements and making payments.
- Raising of sales ledger invoices, copy invoices and credit notes.
- Chasing outstanding payments and allocating payments.
- Multiple bank reconciliations for 8 accounts.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Self-starter, with good initiative and able to prioritise workloads.
- Efficient and meticulous in organisational skills.
- A team player, who is happy to support where needed.
- 31 days holiday including bank holidays, option to buy additional days.
