What will the Payroll & Systems Manager role involve?
- Leading the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK legislation, while driving system enhancements
- Acting as the expert resource for payroll queries, supporting staff and management with payroll and system-related issues
- Managing and developing payroll systems, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to optimise data flow, reporting, and audit processes
- Supporting system upgrades, new implementations, and ongoing system health to foster continual improvement
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll & Systems Manager vacancy:
- Proven experience managing payroll operations within the UK, with a solid understanding of PAYE, NIC, pensions, and statutory payments
- Strong technical expertise with payroll systems, including implementation or improvement projects
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience supervising or supporting team members is advantageous but not essential
