CMA Recruitment Group is working with a global business that specialises in industrial distribution to recruit a Financial Accountant for their Southampton-based finance team. It is a hands-on, varied role where you will work closely with senior leadership on everything from group reporting and compliance to finance projects that actually move the needle.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?
- Assisting with month-end group reporting and financial statement review
- Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle
- Preparing for audit and liaising with external auditors
- Coordinating with international finance teams to improve controls and consistency
- Contributing to process improvements, cashflow and treasury responsibilities
- Supporting business insurance administration and managing claims
- Assisting with export control and customs process compliance
- Supporting junior members of the finance team and leading ad hoc projects
Suitable candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred)
- Strong technical understanding of group reporting, compliance and audit preparation
- Confident analysing financial data and communicating across international teams
- Self-motivated, well-organised and methodical with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with Onestream or Sage 200 would be an advantage
- Exposure to internal audit, treasury or export control processes is desirable
