CMA HR Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering business in Portsmouth to recruit an HR Advisor on a temporary to permanent basis. Part of a global business, this organisation is an established employer, with people at the heart of its success.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR generalist who enjoys building relationships across the business, supporting managers with people matters and contributing to a positive workplace culture. The role offers variety, autonomy and the potential for a permanent position within a well-established and growing team.
What will the HR Advisor role involve?
- Providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the business
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management and offboarding
- Advising on performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring best practice and compliance with employment legislation
- Maintaining accurate HR records, systems and reporting data
- Assisting with payroll administration and ensuring employee data integrity
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing activities
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Suitable Candidate for the HR Advisor vacancy
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent
- Proven experience within a generalist HR Advisory role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident handling employee relations matters and supporting managers
- Experience working with HR systems and producing HR reports
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar operational environment would be advantageous
