An established and well-respected family run organisation is seeking an experienced Part-time Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations across a diverse portfolio. This role will be between 25-30 hours a week. This is a varied, hands-on role offering genuine responsibility, autonomy, and regular interaction with external accountants and professional advisers. Based in a professional, close-knit environment, the role would suit someone who enjoys breadth, ownership, and working within a stable, long-term setting.
What will the role involve?
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping
- Managing multiple bank accounts and preparing regular cashflow forecasts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations (with external support as required)
- Running Sage payroll, including HMRC submissions, pensions and end-of-year processes
- Preparing information for annual accounts and liaising with external accountants
- Preparing financial reports for quarterly Board with attendance as required
Suitable Candidate for the vacancy:
- Proven experience in a broad bookkeeping or financial administration role
- Comfortable working across multiple entities
- Confident payroll experience including HMRC and pension submissions
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally
