An established charity in the Havant, Hampshire area is seeking an Interim Finance Director/Head of Finance for a period of approximately 3 months to cover sickness. This role will report to the Board and work either 3-5 days per week, supporting the small finance team and leadership decisions.
What will the Interim Finance Director role involve?
- Assisting with all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, management accounts, and annual reporting processes.
- Supporting the preparation of all financial and statutory returns including HMRC requirements and charity SORP, and managing the external audit process and other professional consultancy relationships.
- Provision of regular financial reporting and forecasting to support operational management, in addition to working closely with departmental budget holders to ensure robust financial controls.
Suitable Candidate for the Interim Finance Director vacancy:
- Applicants for this role will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with a proven hands-on track record in financial management, budget setting, and statutory reporting.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills will be essential to undertake the role successfully.
