Financial Accountant

Overview

CMA is recruiting for a rapidly expanding business based in Weymouth, Dorset. They have a key role within the finance team, responsible for statutory reporting, audit coordination, and ensuring robust financial controls across the business. Working closely with senior finance and operational teams, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in supporting our clients continued growth and its mission to deliver an outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts and coordinating the external audit process
• Timely and accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards
• Supporting month-end processes, control account reconciliations, and improvement of financial procedures
• Providing accurate financial insight to senior management and contributing to wider finance projects
• Building effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver a high standard of financial service

Qualifications

• Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar accounting qualification)
• End-to-end experience in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting
• Strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational and planning skills
• Advanced Excel ability and confident working with financial systems
• Stakeholder management skills with a proactive, collaborative approach
