An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to join a well-established organisation within the services sector. Based in Portsmouth, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering learning initiatives that support organisational growth, workforce capability and ongoing transformation.

Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the business, you'll help ensure employees have the skills, knowledge and development opportunities needed to succeed in a fast-changing environment.

What will the role involve?

  • Partnering with senior leaders and department heads to identify learning needs and develop tailored development solutions
  • Reviewing and enhancing existing learning programmes and e-learning content to maximise engagement and effectiveness
  • Supporting the continued growth and success of apprenticeship and early career initiatives
  • Leading and promoting development programmes that support wider business transformation and modernisation objectives
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on learning and development best practice
  • Evaluating learning interventions and making recommendations for continuous improvement

Suitable Candidate

  • Proven experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes within a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels
  • Experience supporting apprenticeship schemes, talent development initiatives or similar workforce development programmes
  • A proactive and innovative approach to learning, development and organisational change
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Passionate about developing people and creating positive employee experiences
