CMA is partnering with our Hurn, Dorset client who is an established engineering business located near the airport. Due to an internal move they are seeking a part time Accounts Assistant to work within a standalone finance position to report into group, to oversee the day to day transactions. Our client is looking for someone office based, 5 days a week to work 20-25 hours a week. Responsibilities
- Managing daily financial transactions, including payment and receipt allocations into the company’s accounting system
- Maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledgers, processing invoices efficiently and resolving discrepancies
- Monitoring aged debtors, chasing overdue balances, and sending customer statements
- Reconciling bank statements, customer, and supplier accounts to ensure financial accuracy
- Assisting with month-end reporting and supporting ad hoc financial tasks to keep the finance function running smoothly
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of working within a busy finance or accounts environment, ideally with exposure to purchase and sales ledger activities
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of organisation
- Good communication skills and the ability to resolve account queries efficiently
- Proficiency with simple accounting or financial software
- Motivated and eager to contribute to team success in a growing business
