About the Opportunity
CMA Recruitment Group are delighted to be exclusively partnering a highly acquisitive, private-equity-backed organisation undergoing rapid growth, who are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner. Working closely with a dynamic and commercially focused CFO, the Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, driving financial performance, and ensuring robust financial oversight across new and existing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Develop and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts to support operational and investment decisions.
- Produce insightful financial analysis, KPIs, and performance dashboards for senior leadership and PE stakeholders.
- Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, supporting them with financial insight to improve performance.
- Challenge assumptions, highlight risks, and identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimisation.
- Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and project teams.
- Acquisition & Integration Support
- Support financial modelling and due diligence for ongoing acquisitions.
- Assist with post-acquisition integration, ensuring new entities are aligned with group financial processes and reporting standards.
- Provide financial oversight on project spend and investment cases.
- Project & Investment Control
- Monitor capital expenditure, project budgets, and ROI analyses.
- Ensure robust tracking and governance around project spend, including presenting variances and corrective actions.
- Work closely with the CFO on strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decks.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, commentary, and variance analysis.
- Support the development of financial controls, processes, and systems as the business scales.
- Work collaboratively to meet PE reporting requirements and tight deadlines.
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Experience working in a PE-backed, fast-paced, or growth environment (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate numbers into insight.
- Confident, commercially minded, and comfortable challenging stakeholders.
- Highly proactive with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
