The Finance Manager position offers a broad, hands‑on role within a close‑knit management team. It is suitable for a commercially minded accountant who is available immediately or on short notice.
Responsibilities- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
- Lead year‑end accounting processes and liaise with external advisors where required.
- Build, maintain and review forecasts, including cash‑flow planning.
- Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, supplier payments and bank reconciliations.
- Manage payroll processes.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE and pension submissions.
- Prepare clear monthly performance reports and work with department heads to identify and drive improvements.
- Well‑experienced in a senior accounting or finance manager role.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero or a similar accounting system.
- Confident use of Microsoft365, with solid Excel skills.
- A naturally inquisitive mindset with strong numerical and analytical ability.
- A positive, commercial approach with the confidence to challenge and support stakeholders.
