We are delighted to be assisting our long-established, prestigious client with the recruitment of an Accountant on a maternity cover basis until February 2026. Operating and managing processes carried out by the finance function involving transactional entries through to reconciliation and control. You will form part of a small team with plenty of opportunities to make a significant contribution to the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation.
What will the Accountant involve?
- Managing and controlling ledger accounts for group entities (including fixed assets, depreciation, bank, intercompany, loans, prepayment and accruals, reserves).
- Monthly reconciliations. Updating cashflow. Running period/year end routines on accounting systems.
- Production of management accounts, schedules for annual audit, and preparing and posting intercompany/interdepartmental recharges.
- Supporting with the preparation of budgets and managing the same.
- Support Group accountant with billing, statements and queries.
Suitable Candidate for the Accountant vacancy:
- Confident, pro-active and keen to learn, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a desire to develop accounting skills and gain an accounting qualification.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
