Reporting to the Financial Controller and CFO, this is not a gap-fill. It is a defined body of improvement and systems work to be delivered ahead of the year-end audit, with a clear before and after on everything you touch. The assignment is several months in length and carries genuine potential to become permanent for the right person.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

  • Full review and cleanse of the Fixed Asset Register, from validating existence and reclassification through to reassessing useful lives, depreciation and impairment
  • Implementing and optimising the Fixed Asset module within Dynamics 365 Business Central – asset cards, depreciation books and posting groups – and automating the accounting so it runs cleanly afterwards
  • Resolving balance sheet reconciliation issues. Strengthening supporting schedules and getting the balance sheet fully audit-ready
  • Setting up new legal entities within the ERP with the correct chart of accounts and dimensions
  • Supporting the budget upload and contributing to wider finance transformation work

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Genuine fixed asset depth – register management right through to module implementation
  • Strong financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliation and financial controls experience
  • ERP implementation exposure, ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Comfortable owning a workstream independently and delivering to an audit deadline

Additional benefits and information for the role of Financial Accountant:

  • £250 – £300 per day depending on experience, inside IR35
  • Several months' duration with genuine potential to move to a permanent role
  • Direct exposure to the Financial Controller and CFO in a growing, internationally expanding business
