YOUR ROLE

Are you ready to take ownership of delivering exceptional technical support across a fast paced and growing organisation? Our IT team is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide 2nd line support from our Ashby office. This hands-on role is key to ensuring our systems, applications and hardware operate efficiently, securely and reliably for colleagues across multiple sites. This is an office-based position with occasional travel across the UK to support our operations and project activity.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Global Business IT Specialist, you will provide 2nd line support across a range of applications, devices and systems.
  • Ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly while reducing recurring issues.
  • You will support internal projects and new business implementations, offering technical advice to ensure smooth delivery and minimal disruption.
  • You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation, supporting system updates and assisting with ongoing IT initiatives.
  • This role requires a proactive approach, identifying improvements, maintaining service levels and ensuring that all users receive a consistent, high quality support experience.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in 2nd line IT support, with strong troubleshooting skills and solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networks, applications and security protocols. You will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues across multiple sites. You will bring the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users, produce accurate technical documentation and contribute to wider IT projects when required.
