Our operation in Daventry has an exciting opportunity for a client focused and forward thinking Operations Manager. In this pivotal role, you will provide clear direction across the site, driving operational efficiency and ensuring we consistently meet, and exceed our customers' expectations.

What are you going to do?

  • You will act as the site lead, providing strong leadership and direction to ensure operational efficiency and excellence.
  • You will oversee a diverse team of stock controllers, small warehousing team and agency staff to ensure effective planning, organisation, and communication to meet all KPI targets.
  • You will maintain high standards of safety and security and uphold exceptional client service at all times.
  • A key part of your role will be to build, sustain, and embed a culture of employee engagement, accountability, and high performance.
  • You will champion process improvements, lead audits, and utilise reporting mechanisms to drive performance.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will identify, evaluate, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that align with quality standards and remain within budgetary targets.

What are we looking for?

  • Our ideal candidate will have proven experience leading operational teams within warehouse and/or transportation operations, ideally within an operational or 3PL environment.
  • You will demonstrate a strong track record of developing successful client relationships, combined with excellent people management skills and the ability to coach, support, and develop others.
  • You will be an effective decision maker with strong negotiation and influencing skills, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with cost models, budget tracking, and robust report-writing and statistical analysis skills are essential for success in this role.
