YOUR ROLE

Our large multi-user operation based in Daventry DIRFT has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking Contract Manager, where you will be responsible for all aspects of service delivery and operational management, maintaining close working partnership with customers, operational leadership teams and CEVA colleagues to develop the contract offering and underpin contract success. This amazing role will see you working in collaboration with leaders across the site where you will focus on operational performance and customer service excellence, ensuring efficient service delivery to guarantee customer satisfaction for a dedicated customer portfolio.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Senior General Manager, you will lead diverse operations where you will form a management team that creates, sustains, and embeds a culture of employee engagement, high performance, continuous improvement, and succession planning where you will generate coaching, training, and development opportunities. With a focus on operational efficiencies, you will drive outstanding customer service excellence, championing health, safety, and quality activities across the operation, leading and implementing cost save initiatives through effective LEAN and financial KPI targets. You will form excellent customer relationships through exemplary service delivery acting as the main point of contact for all operational performance activities investigating problematic issues or failures, where you will implement solutions and protective measures to mitigate future risk. You will take ownership of all monthly, quarterly, and yearly business reviews, creating reporting packs for customers on operational KPIs, metrics and overall performance ensuring activities are in line with operational and contractual budgetary targets. In addition, you will collaborate with senior management to support in new commercial opportunities, projects and value-added solutions with a focus on organic growth, site development and the maximization of revenue. You will support in creating, defining, and deploying operational strategies in alignment with product line objectives and participate in wider project support as and when required.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will have proven experience of managing large, multi-contract warehousing operations with a high level of client interface, ideally within a fast-paced 3PL operation.

  • Knowledge of the retail and consumer or FMCG industry.
  • Experienced in creating a high-performing team.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen skills.
  • Significant client facing experience with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Natural negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills capable of creating and understanding statistical reports.
  • Skilled in driving innovation, change and continuous improvement initiatives.
