YOUR ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an Ocean Imports Coordinator. This amazing role will see you working within our busy ocean operation based in Ashby de la Zouch, where you will focus on end-to-end imports operational activity for our customers. This hybrid role will see you working Monday to Friday, either working 8am-4:30pm, 8:30-5pm or 07:30am to 4:00pm, dependant on preference.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Ocean Import Supervisor, you will provide excellent customer service and proactive service recovery to ensure constant communication with our customers, driving operational and customer service excellence and satisfaction. You will act as the customer interface to all import operational processes, always maintaining accuracy and compliance. You will create internal and external relationships that will allow you to keep informed on shipment details and status for allocated customers, whilst handling customer inquiries, claims, requests, and complaints where you will provide remedial actions. You will utilise management systems to check shipment statuses, identifying and resolving incidents immediately to ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience. In addition to day-to-day activities, you may be required to actively participate in projects to meet operational and customer service excellence.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have proven end-to-end experience within ocean imports, knowledgeable in customs clearances processes and will already be operating within a fast-paced ocean or multimodal operation. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to form relationships internally and externally, possess excellent customer service skills, a natural problem solver and logical thinker and team player who can prioritise their own workload with accuracy and efficiency. It would be desirable, however not essential if you have proven Cargowise experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing ocean freight team who provide an outstanding service to customers.
