YOUR ROLE
The Transport Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring CMA CGM's customers receive the best possible service and experience. You will work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues to ensure transport-related matters are handled professionally and in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a trusted and reliable first point of contact for stakeholders regarding transport-related matters.
- Build and manage strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal customers.
- Manage and resolve any transport-related issues that arise, such as updating customers of late or failed transport and co-ordinating between hauliers and customers.
- Adopt a proactive and solutions-focused approach, monitoring delivery of transport services and identifying effective resolutions to issues.
- Proactively engage with customers, providing quotes, managing bookings, and resolving issues.
- General transport administration, including logging, monitoring, and analysis of issues, bookings, costs, and service levels.
- Work with transport systems and databases, ensuring information is managed with high levels of accuracy.
- Ensure that any charges raised are accurate and that costs incurred are agreed and processed accordingly.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience in a Customer Service and Administration environment, with the ability to build rapport and provide a proactive service.
- Experience within the Transport and Logistics industry is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience of building effective relationships at all levels.
- Strong Administration skills, with knowledge of working with high volumes of data and IT systems.
- A resilient approach, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- A natural problem solver, with the ability to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Flexibility in approach, responding positively to differing customer requirements.
