As a Transport Planner, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for routing and coordinating container movements across road, rail, and feeder services. Your mission is to ensure every transport is planned efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with vendor and customer requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Planning and dispatching daily UK transport across road, rail, and feeder networks
  • Maximising efficiency through smart routing and cost-effective decision-making
  • Liaising with hauliers, rail partners, internal teams, and key transport accounts
  • Ensuring allocations are met and any additional costs are captured promptly
  • Providing updates, resolving service issues, and supporting colleagues during absences
  • Feeding back performance insights and helping maintain operational excellence

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the transport or logistics industry would be highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
  • A team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently as required
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Solid MS Office capability; Destin8/CNS experience is a bonus
  • Strong UK geographical awareness
