Flights Travel consultant: We currently have a new opportunity to work as an Airfares Consultant for a Flight broker based from Home . Ideally from a flights reservations or flights tour operator background we are seeking someone with excellent Fares experience on a major GDS – either Amadeus , Galileo or Sabre alongside knowledge of the ticketing process too. As a Flights Travel Consultant you will have: Experience from a flight brokers or tour operator flights department, a travel agent or travel agency, where you have had to book schedule fares and deal with ticketing or from a Business Travel background or ticketing team perhaps. Excellent fares knowledge Experience using the GDS Amadeus or Galileo or Sabre ( extra points for all 3 ) A good understanding of the Ticketing process / fares The role of the Airfares Travel Consultant will involve: – Dealing with Travel Agents, tour operators or similar via telephone and e-mail Selling Round the World and multi-sector itineraries Assisting with group enquires from customers Assisting with customer service and pre-departure enquires to include reissues and refunds Issuing schedule Airline tickets Build rapport to gain repeat business from agents Other info: In return you will expect to earn a salary of £25-27k a year with an average OTE of around £7000+ depending on experience in your first year If you only have one GDS then they will train you on the other two !
