We're looking for a passionate and commercially minded Senior Travel Specialist to join a luxury travel business specialising in tailor-made holidays to Europe, specifically Italy & Croatia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced travel sales professional with exceptional European destination knowledge who is looking to take the next step in their career, combining hands-on travel sales with the opportunity to support and influence a specialist team, shape future product development and help drive the growth of one of the company's key destination regions.

This position is fully home based in the UK or Ireland with excellent OTE of £40k to £42k and regular travel opportunities of up to 4 weeks per year to explore the destinations.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Drive individual and team sales performance, actively selling tailor made holidays to Italy & Croatia while delivering exceptional customer service and commercial results.
  • Manage customers from initial enquiry through to their return, maximising conversion through expert destination knowledge, relationship building and attention to detail.
  • Support enquiry management, booking quality, lead follow up and pipeline activity, assisting with complex bookings and helping to maximise conversion opportunities across the team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and day to day support to colleagues, sharing best practice and helping to drive performance and development across the team.
  • Assist with workload management, rota planning and enquiry allocation to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient team operation.
  • Maintain exceptional standards across quotations, itineraries and customer interactions, supporting with escalated enquiries and complex customer situations where required.
  • Provide insight into customer trends, booking behaviour and competitor activity, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive destination growth and commercial performance.
  • Support destination growth through product development, identifying new itineraries, experiences and upselling opportunities, while increasing destination visibility through website content, social media activity, trade events and educational visits.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Significant tailor-made travel sales experience with strong knowledge of Italy and/or Croatia.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting colleagues would be advantageous, although candidates looking to take their first step into a more senior role are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with strong commercial awareness and an understanding of customer buying behaviour.
  • Passion for creating exceptional tailor-made travel experiences, combined with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to inspire confidence, share knowledge and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Hands-on, proactive and results-focused approach, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for up to four weeks per year to further develop destination knowledge and supplier relationships.
