Are you an experienced Japan Specialist looking for a new challenge or that next step? We are working with a dynamic tour operator specialising in luxury tailor-made holidays to Japan, and they are seeking a talented Travel Consultant OR Sales Manager to join their team.

Sales Manager / Senior Travel Consultant you will play a crucial role in expanding the brand. Your responsibilities will include responding to new enquiries, creating bespoke itinerary proposals, converting enquiries into bookings, and managing client relationships. You will also oversee the successful operation of holidays in Japan and build strong relationships with suppliers.

Sales Manager / Senior Travel Consultant Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to new enquiries and create tailor-made itinerary proposals.
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and maintain client relationships.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of holidays in Japan, exceeding client expectations.
  • Build and nurture relationships with suppliers in the UK and Japan.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and content creation.
  • Potential to own relationships with local DMCs

Sales Manager / Senior Travel Consultant Skills Required:

  • Extensive travel experience in Japan and a deep affinity with the country.
  • Substantial experience in the travel industry, ideally in a sales role.
  • Ability to work in the Cheltenham office for at least three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).

Sales Manager / Senior Travel Consultant Ideal Candidate:

  • Sales-driven and ambitious, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in written English and comfortable with multiple technology platforms.
  • Excited by the prospect of growing the product and team.
  • Looking to take the next step in to management OR an experienced Sales Manager

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary (£35,000 – £40,000 per annum) with an incentive scheme (OTE £45,000 – £55,000).
  • 23 days of holiday per year (plus bank holidays).
  • Opportunities for travel to Japan to develop the product.
  • This is a hybrid role, working Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday in the Cheltenham office. Free to work from home on Thursday & Friday.
