This successful travel company specialises in creating enriching, meaningful holiday experiences across a wide range of hand-picked worldwide destinations, with a strong focus on responsible and adventure-led travel. As they continue to grow, they are now looking for a Sales Team Leader to join their small, friendly team in their central Brighton office.

Basic salary £38k to £46k dependent on experience, plus bonus, hybrid working.

  • Lead by example with hands-on sales, using your expert long-haul knowledge to guide customers through the full sales journey.
  • Coach, mentor and support a team of Travel Specialists through regular 1:1s, feedback and day-to-day guidance.
  • Drive team performance by identifying opportunities to improve conversion, quality and customer experience.
  • Handle complex customer cases and escalations with confidence and empathy.
  • Share destination and product expertise, helping to develop knowledge across the team.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide insights on performance, trends and opportunities.
  • Support improvements to processes, tools and ways of working to enhance efficiency and team effectiveness.
  • Champion responsible travel and embed sustainability into sales conversations and team culture.
  • Contribute to wider business initiatives such as training, onboarding, product development or internal projects.

Must have experience in tailor-made long haul travel sales for a UK-based tour operator, ideally as a Team Leader, Sales Coach, Senior Travel Consultant. Strong long-haul destination knowledge gained through combination of selling and personal travel experiences. Experience coaching or supporting colleagues in a senior sales or Team Leader role preferred, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role with proven success as an experienced Senior Travel Specialist. Proven success working in a target-driven travel sales environment. Commercially astute with the ability to identify opportunities to grow revenue and improve efficiency. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to give constructive feedback and run effective 1:1s. Passion for responsible travel and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, adapt and manage a varied workload. Positive, proactive and collaborative, with a genuine desire to support others and contribute to team culture.

Hybrid working – typically around 3 days per week in a sociable, supportive office environment. Monday to Friday, 9am–5.30pm (Saturdays only worked in January).
