Adventure Group Tour Operator are looking for a new Operations Manager to manage the operations of their tours. This is an award-winning company with an excellent reputation and a very exciting product portfolio.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage an Operations team with a headcount of around 7
- On-board, train and continually mentor and develop your operations team members
- Manage allocations on tours, trip documentation and continually develop systems and processes
- Join strategic internal meetings and external meetings with partners alongside the Senior Operations Manager
- Assist with recruitment for Operations team and on-the-ground Tour Leaders
- Lead operations’ coordination with sales team and collaborate with product team and wider business
- Hands-on operations management of a share of the tour portfolio including crisis management when needed
- Negotiation and liaison with DMC’s
- Creation of trip documents.
- Work closely with the Sustainable Travel Manager
Operations Manager Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in operations in group travel (for adults or children)
- Some experience in people management is beneficial
- Leadership qualities – essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- A passion for travel – essential
Operations Manager Additional Information:
- 4 days from home and 1 day per week in London Office (Tues, Wed or Thurs)
