Overview
In this role you will support consolidated reporting, statutory accounts and regulatory compliance within a global travel business. You will strengthen the financial control environment and work across an international finance function to deliver accurate Group accounts and disclosures. The position offers exposure to IFRS reporting, audit coordination and process improvements in a transformed finance landscape. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to explain financial movements and support strategic finance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated accounts and reporting in line with IFRS
- Assist in delivering Group accounts to management, the Board and external stakeholders
- Maintain and enhance the Group financial control environment around consolidation and reporting
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analysis
- Support preparation of Group financial statements, disclosures and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with Treasury to reconcile and explain movements in investments and debt
- Support external audit processes and ensure timely, accurate delivery
- Prepare technical accounting papers under IFRS and local standards
- Support regulatory compliance and develop Group finance policies and processes
- Work with Head of Tax on transfer pricing policy implementation and maintenance
- Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement and business priorities
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Proven experience in group accounting, financial reporting, audit or financial control
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical skills for variances and financial movements
- Advanced Excel; comfortable with complex financial data
- Attention to detail and understanding of interdependencies of finance systems
- Proactive problem-solving and process improvement mindset
- Experience in multinational or international organisations
- Ability to communicate technical accounting clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage deadlines
- Technology-focused mindset and quick adaptation to new systems
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 advantageous
- Previous cruise/maritime travel experience beneficial but not essential
