London / Hybrid, Temporary Assignment (approximately 3 months) We’re looking for a Group Accountant to join the finance team of a global travel business, supporting consolidated reporting, statutory accounts, financial controls and regulatory compliance.Following a major business transformation, this is an exciting opportunity to help strengthen and embed the financial control environment while gaining broad exposure across an international organisation.The RoleYou'll play a key role in:Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated accounts and reporting in line with IFRS.Assisting with the delivery of accurate Group accounts to management, the Board and external stakeholders.Maintaining and enhancing the Group financial control environment, particularly around consolidation and reporting.Managing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analysis, investigating movements and identifying potential issues.Supporting the preparation of Group financial statements, disclosures and regulatory reporting.Working closely with Treasury to reconcile and explain movements in investments and debt.Supporting the external audit process and ensuring audit requirements are delivered accurately and on time.Preparing technical accounting papers and memos in accordance with IFRS and relevant local standards.Supporting regulatory compliance and the ongoing development of Group finance policies and processes.Working with the Head of Tax on the implementation and maintenance of the Group's
